Stopover in Normandy: Nature & Discovery

Capital of the Pays d’Ouche, so dear to the Countess of Ségur, L’Aigle gets its name from the discovery in the 11th century of an eagle’s nest by Fulbert de Beina at his feudal castle.

Today, L’Aigle is particulary well known for its Tuesday morning market, one of the biggest in France, but this pretty town of 9000 inhabitants is also an ideal starting point for lovers of nature and culture alike to discover colourful and magical villages filled with a rich past.
